We really need a good recession. Or you need to start making it known when service is sub-par.

Either way, something needs to change.

29 August 2007 "Two Years and Counting"

Two years after Katrina and there are people still waiting for someone else to rebuild their lives for them. Is there anyone that doubts that there will be people waiting three and four and five years?

It is already well documented the amount of money that has been pissed away and squandered. There has been enough money spent in Mississippi to have purchased every family not one but two replacement homes.

Someone is getting rich. We are paying for it.

29 August 2007 We are not better off with Vick in Jail

The dogs may be safer. The pit bulls especially.

But to take a man who had $100 million in income coming and just erase it. So how much state and federal income tax will not be collected? How much in lost SS wages?

Now, we will likely be paying for his room and board. So will we as a society be better off with Vick in jail? Wouldn't public ridicule and social ostracizing been a more effective way to have dealt with this issue?
