29 August 2007 We are not better off with Vick in Jail
The dogs may be safer. The pit bulls especially.But to take a man who had $100 million in income coming and just erase it. So how much state and federal income tax will not be collected? How much in lost SS wages?
Now, we will likely be paying for his room and board. So will we as a society be better off with Vick in jail? Wouldn't public ridicule and social ostracizing been a more effective way to have dealt with this issue?

You know Ernie, I never would have thought of it this way until reading your thoughts. It does make me think twice that there would be much better ways to make him pay rather than us paying for his jail time! PA
